The Library was designed for enjoyment as well as education. The extensive collection offers solo piano compositions from the 18th century through the modern period.

All compositions have been recorded in their entirety. Nothing has been cut from any composition.

All compact discs have excellent sound-fidelity and are offered in digital audio.

All recordings were made on a 9-foot Baldwin concert grand piano with high-quality professional recording equipment.

All compact discs are multiple-tracked for maximum study, listening, and teaching flexibility. All segments of spoken commentary, all compositions and their individual movements, are tracked separately for inclusion or exclusion as desired by the listener, student, or teacher. Such precise tracking with exact timing is clearly indicated on the Table of Contents on the back of each CD jewel case.

Spoken commentary and enclosed written programs notes provide relevant historical focus and analytical perspective. Each movement of every work is identified by its formal structure and/or its unique features.

The quality of the recordings has been praised for its clarity, technical fidelity and stylistic interpretation.
